Pre-workout formulas provide the body with the energy and nutrients required to push your workouts to the limit helping to maximise performance and minimise muscle damage. Musashi Pre Workout contains a perfect blend of ingredients to increase performance, help with mental focus and get the muscle pumps required to fire up each training session. Gwen Gothard - Musashi Performance Nutritionist takes a look at the ingredients found inside the Musashi Pre Workout and explains how each ingredient can benefit training.

What's Inside the Tub?

Citrulline Malate

Citrulline can improve the use of amino acids, especially branch chain amino acids (BCAAs) during exercise, which results in better recovery for fatigued muscles. Studies show that Citrulline Malate can increase the total number of repetitions completed by healthy men during 8 sets of flat bench press by nearly 53%. Studies also show that there can be a 40% improvement in muscle recovery and reduction in muscle soreness over a 24–48-hour period post-training1.

Beta Alanine

High intensity exercise can lead to acid accumulation inside working muscles resulting in 'muscle burn' contributing to the onset of fatigue. Beta-Alanine supports high intensity training in endurance, strength and team sports by improving the muscles internal buffering capacity helping to reduce and delay muscle fatigue.

Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAA's)

Refer the essential amino acids leucine, isoleucine and valine. Out of the three BCAA's, leucine is considered the most important as it is the key stimulator for protein synthesis (muscle growth) - Musashi Pre Workout contains a higher level of leucine in comparison to the other BCAAs - isoleucine and valine. The unique role that BCAA's have in protein synthesis and protein breakdown leads us to believe supplementing before, during or after exercise can help to prevent catabolism (muscle breakdown).

Arginine

The role of Arginine in the production of growth hormones, synthesis of creatine and production of nitric oxide provide several different benefits to an athlete. Growth hormone promotes protein synthesis, which is critical for muscle recovery and repair. Nitric oxide assists blood flow to the muscles allowing superior delivery of oxygen and other nutrients to the muscles to enhance performance.

Creatine

Offers several performance benefits. It can produce small but immediate effects on maximum strength and power. This allows athletes to perform more high-intensity work in competition and training, resulting in improved performance and an enhanced training effect.

Caffeine

Well known for its stimulating effects helping to increase mental focus and endurance. Caffeine has many other benefits including, blocking carbohydrate absorption and releasing fatty acids assisting with fat burning. Musashi Pre Workout is batch tested for banned substances and is suitable for use in sports following the strict regulations of WADA (World Anti-Doping Association) and ASADA (Australian Sport Anti-Doping Authority).

Musashi Pre Workout comes in three mouthwatering flavours - Lemon Lime, Purple Grape and Tropical. One serve (9g) provides all the important ingredients required to help you power through your workout and get the best out of every training session. Musashi Pre Workout is for anyone that would like to see results. If your committed to training and getting the best results possible, then Musashi Pre Workout is for you.
